Sadly the rest of the game is supposed to suck. I've only played the original trilogy on N64, and I can say that third one was the darkest and dirtiest. The Lost Land where the games take place was turning into a huge junkyard, people installing military bases everywhere, and more mutants and monsters than dinos.

The second one is the best! It's a little different than that but it had tons of gore and some references to Predator made it manly as Hell!

First! YES this game is so awesome as it looks like. Its wonderful, you will have to use every painted background as your desktop wallpaper.
There is so much detail and perfection in it like nihei would have drawn it personally.

If nihei would make a game, it would look definitively like this, but with less humor and colors. If you liked "Beneath a steel sky" or generally can click with a mouse, you have to play this!
