<  General 2.0  ~  Blame game (screens)

Hi 2 all interrnational Blame community from the group of independent goddamn developers!
A couple years ago in the depths of the Net we found Nihei's masterpiece Blame and it really broke our lifes :D We began to paint our faces with a black-and-white makeup and wearing dark clothing, talking with short smugly phrases, decoring our rooms with cables and broken hardware. And we are still the same :D

Well, speaking shortly we really wanted to play some blame-style game whatever it was, but all that we have found was started but forsaken desperate projects. We were filled with despair... But then we realised that we could do it ourself. And we started. About 6-7 month ago.

That was a real challenge. It was impossibly hard to start for us, green students :D To choose an engine, genre, draw graphics, learn wtf is game developing in the whole!
But we did it, supporting and kicking each others ass not to give up.

So, let me present what we've done for this moment:

We actually can't decide who is this girl. It just appeared in the game in the beginning and passed all locations for hundred times testing and debugging. Best character, just real network engineer :D

Yeah, that's safeguard. Actually it's inactive now. We just didn't build struture conersion towers yet :D

Actually, the we based not only on Blame itself, but on all Niheis works, including Noise and Biomega. That will be hard mix.

Well, we did alot, that's just a little piece of game. But we still have a lot of work to make the game loved by all Blame community. And honestly speaking, we are a little bit stuck. We have basic megastructure, but we've got no story :confused:

We working hardly and thinking toughly, but we moving slow. So, we came to decision to appeal to all Blame community.

If you have any blame-related idea that is acceptable and can be realised in 2D adventure game, share it with us and we'll bring it to life in our game.

We also would be pleased to accept any contributions e.g. texts, related pixel art sprites, ambient music and whatever else.

Anyway, we plan to release in late spring-early summer, so it's not so far to wait. You can reply here or on e-mail: unlimitary at gmail dot com, or in icq 2288nineninenine35

This is so awesome. I would love to help out, not sure about pixel art but I can draw cyberpunk. So we might be able to figure something out.

Yeah, that's our main artist 8) He's not actually artist, he started drawing only when we began to work on the game, but somehow he can make all that stuff looking just like you went into manga's pages, especially when all that moves, making 3d-effect. Great feeling of presence, he's awsome =)

Huh, the main idea was to draw the simpliest way, and make it looking cool by right colors. Actually, if i got a minute (e.g. on philosophy in college :D) i just take a pencil and starting drawing sth looking like megastructure. Then i come home, scan it, make pixel outline, add grayscale colors and placin it in a game. That's all, about 2-3 hours on 3 screen width stuff. You can try, let your imagination out :D
