Does anyone know the price(s) listed for the Blame! figures? Are there any relatively cheap ones? I'm on a tight budget, but i would really love to have one of those...

Which figures do you mean? There were two releases: the first had Sanakan, Cibo, and Killy and is pretty much impossible to find for a reasonable price. The second was a release alongside the CG movie preview that was only Sanakan and Killy. The latter may be sold out by now, figures tend to be produced in limited quantities and sell out fast in Japan. You can do a search on websites like Amazon and Ebay, but even then they may be priced up due to limited quantities.

Ah... i guess I'll have to search or save up then, cuz I really want one of those Killy ones from the CG release. I DID find one on Ebay, but it was $70 and that's way over my budget. :(

Does anyone know the price for the ones you put together and paint yourself? I'm absolutely terrible at it, but I'm getting desperate...

The garage kits range from $20-$40. I think there are also pre-painted versions of the Sanakan kit, but I bet they're probably too expensive. There is also currently no Killy kit, just Sanakan and Cibo (though the Cibo kit will probably drive you insane).

Good point. I loved your Sanakan one too, but I think I'm not at a high enough caliber to paint that, as I will probably make it look horrible.

Luciola,

What country are you in? I'm asking because it always seemed that the first series of three figures was always much more available in certain parts of the world rather than others (and may still be on store shelves, who knows?) In the past, you could sometimes find them reasonably priced. There was some guy in Singapore who seemed to sell a number of them on eBay for a while.

The two which came with the CDs were never cheap new & the ones I see discounted are still usally $55 or more.

I'm in the US, so hopefully there's some available here... if not, there's a Killy that I found on amazon for $55 and a Sanakan for only $40, so hopefully i can find the moolah to spend on it... :D

I was rereading the thread & realized that in a post from a couple of years back I had written almost the same thing about where to find them (i.e., mystery dude in Singapore on eBay.)

I bought my own figures a few years back from a couple of places including Sasuga Books in MA and also from a store on the West Coast.

But from time to time I would keep an eye on the availability online and it seemed that there were stores in France, Italy, and Germany which had them in stock long after they were sold out in the US.

That makes sense--that they would have been distributed more widely outside of the US--since they were released before the mange was being published in The States.

Would you be interested at all in ordering them at all from an online shop which is out of the country? I think I spotted them somewhere onlne recently. I could PM you a link.

That would be great! I would order them from anywhere as long as it's a trustworthy site (I got the world's crappiest virus a few months ago - I had to get a new computer because of it). It also depends on the shipping tax, but at this point I'm desperate enough to fork over any sum of money needed.

Luciola,

I'm PMing you a link. If the PM doesn't work, let me know, as I've never used the PMing capabilites of this board before.

The online store in question says that they ship worldwide, but I didn't try calculating how much it would be to the US. I also didn't try to convert the prices of the figures to US dollars.* The key thing is that the store has all three figures and says they are in stock. The site is not primarily in English, but some of it is. Hopefully you can get around (try Google translate).

If you decide not to order the figures, let me know and I'll post the link so someone else can get a shot at them. I assume there are other people still trying to obtain them.

* Okay, I just now converted the prices, and let's just say that excluding shipping, you could get all three figures for the price of one of the figure-and-DVD packs. How does that sound?

Alright, I'm getting 'em. Just one question, though - what's the shipping rate to the US?

I'm not sure. It's one of those websites where you add what you want to your cart and then it will calculate shipping, based on the weight of what you ordered, the shipping method chosen, and destination.

But I expect that if you emailed them and asked, they could give you an estimate.

I got an account and tried to buy it, but it didn't give me the shipping rate. I'm trying your suggestion of emailing them, so i hope this works.

Good luck to Figure-Seeker Luciola in the Cyber Shopping Quest!

I've read a lot of different manga, but BLAME! is the only one for which--as soon I as read it--I fell in love with the artwork to such a degree that I decided I needed to find some figures of the characters.
