Hi guys. I was wondering if anyone knew how to contact Nihei or someone about permission for using his characters and the story line for the 3d project.

Im asking because its a requirement in the brief. or would it be enough just to add him in the credits. As this project is a college project and i wont be making any money from it.

Wow, kaden, I'm kinda impressed!
That corridors are pretty well done. But you should make them more irregular, less symetrical, give them that freaky feel from manga.
When you texture them, be sure to post the pics.

BTW, what 3d software do you use?

i, using lightwave right now, but since the animation course taught us maya i may still use that for some animating, but all the rendering will be done in lightwave.

by symetrical you mean the wall details? or the way the whole corridor looks?

the long corridor is a bit more curved than it is in the picture to match up more closely to the manga images the camera might be a little off in some of the tests

You're doing great.
Make sure you make it look dark and decaying when it's textured.

though i would give you guys an update, i finished the project last tuesday but iv been pretty busy working on my showreel for the end of my animation class, tomorrow is the last day then we graduate on monday and get diplomas.

as soon as i can i will try get a youtube version up. i will post again when i do.
