Still in early stages of construction, but I'm pleased with the shape so far...

Thanks.
Here we are after a little sanding and paint.
Next step, clean up the details, repaint, and figure out how to do the lights on the front and back.

Oh, no chance! I kinda doubt it would pass as the real thing though.
I'm working on the rear panel now, I have square LEDs that I can turn on with a hidden dip switch so I can have it display the various charge levels.
It won't open up and go into limit release unfortunately... Maybe another version!

Yeah, I'm not quite finished with that section - I was going to enlarge it with some side & bottom plates and add a few pieces of surface detail.
In the mean time:
Charge level one! The circuitry for the display is funcioning, it just needs more cosmetic work before attaching.

Just a few more bits and pieces now...
(the bulldog clip is just temporary)
I must admit, it's pretty difficult to get a totally accurate idea of what the GBE looks like in exact detail, because Nihei draws it a little differently every time.
For the front lights, what do you think... Blue or red?
EDIT: When I'm done, I'll take high-res photos - this is my crappy camera.

The prop's been on hiatus for a while - I had to rethink the grip assembly because it was too frail. I've installed a bracket now that should make a good base for it, and I'll post more pics when there's something to look at.
